Fields also suited up as an import in the Philippine Basketball Association for the Tanduay Rhum Masters. Fields also played in the ABA, reuniting with Joey Meyer in the 2000-2001 season with the Chicago Skyliners.

“At the end of the day, when you measure an athlete, what is not success if you’re still playing over 16 years? Is it the money, or is it the basketball? Some people just look at the money. I was thankful every day after the accident to still be playing. I played professionally in the United States, Europe and South America. I was real fortunate to be blessed with opportunities that a lot of people in those countries don’t have.”
